Provincial Capitols

Tawi Tawi Provincial Capitol

This is the Provincial Capitol of Tawi Tawi located in Bongao.  Bongao is the most populous of the 11 towns of the province. The capital town of Tawi Tawi is Panglima Sugala.

The capitol building looks more of a mosque rather than a government office building. It has a huge golden mosque dome called minaret at the middle and two golden cupolas on its side.  It is located on top of a hill over-looking the town of Bongao and other islets.

The capitol ground is a famous hang-out place among the locals most especially those who jog early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
