Iloilo is the birth place of Lapaz Batchoy and there are 2 names that started it, Ted’s Lapaz Batchoy and Deco’s Lapaz Batchoy. The batchoy war continues as to who offers the best batchoy. Tastewise, they are equal! Interestingly, there are many batchoy restaurants in Iloilo that offers almost or even better batchoy that the two.

Batchoy is a noodle soup made with pork organs, pork cracklings (chicharon), beef loin, chicken stock and noodles and it originated in La Paz, Iloilo.

  1. How I wish I can visit Iloilo. My lolo is a migrant to Mindanao but originally he’s from there.
Anyway, the batchoy tastes delicious I could not wait to have my lunch! 🙂

    • yeah attitude cunots.. Many foreigners will understand the local bad English and take it as it is they went here to vacation and enjoy not to criticize our English . whats important is warmth hospitality and accommodation. yet, for wise reason,, its still important to have correct English construction on your application letter and resume selection board in any company too may admit they fall short in their English proficiency
