Tawi-Tawi

Tawi-Tawi | The Charms of Tawi-Tawi | What To See and Do In Tawi Tawi

Tawi-Tawi is the southernmost province of the Philippines. It is even closer to Malaysia than the nearest Philippine City of Isabela in Basilan. Tawi-Tawi is perhaps a strange tourist destination among many Filipinos and foreigners alike not because of the present military problems in the area as brought about by media but because it is relatively unknown. Since it is not touristy, expect to see the grandeur of unadulterated beauty of nature. Tawi-Tawi has all the secrets of what a perfect adventure must have.

The following are some of my photos when I visited Tawi-Tawi.

Story to follow.

HOW TO GET TO TAWI TAWI

From Manila, take a flight to Zambonga City. From Zamboanga City, take a flight to Tawi Tawi either via Cebu Pacific or PalExpress.  The former uses Airbus A319/320 for all their flights while the later uses smaller air crafts. One can also take a ferry from Zamboanga City Port going to Tawi Tawi. At Tawi Tawi airport, take tricycles to bring you around the town. There are no taxis here.
